Dr. Bharat Bhushan received an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1971, an M.S. in mechanics and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1973 and 1976, respectively, an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Troy, NY in 1980, Doctor Technicae from the University of Trondheim at Trondheim, Norway in 1990, a Doctor of Technical Sciences from the Warsaw University of Technology at Warsaw, Poland in 1996, and Doctor Honoris Causa from the National Academy of Sciences at Gomel, Belarus in 2000 and University of Kragujevac, Serbia in 2011. He is a registered professional engineer. He is presently an Ohio Eminent Scholar and The Howard D. Winbigler Professor in the College of Engineering, and the Director of the Nanoprobe Laboratory for Bio- & Nanotechnology and Biomimetics (NLB2 ) and affiliated faculty in John Glenn College of Public Affairs at the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. In 2013-14, he served as an ASME/AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow, House Committee on Science, Space & Technology, United States Congress, Washington, DC. He previously worked for Mechanical Technology Inc., Latham, NY; SKF Industries Inc., King of Prussia, PA; IBM, Tucson, AZ; and IBM Almaden Research Center, San Jose, CA. He has held visiting professorship at University of California at Berkeley, University of Cambridge, UK, Technical University Vienna, Austria, University of Paris, Orsay, ETH Zurich, EPFL Lausanne, Univ. of Southampton, UK, Univ. of Kragujevac, Serbia, Tsinghua Univ., China, Harbin Inst., China, and KFUPM, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Chunbao Charles Xu is a full Professor of Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Director of Industrial Bio-products Laboratory of Western University, and was the NSERC/FPInnovations Industrial Research Chair in Forest Bio-refinery between 2011 and 2016. Dr. Xu earned two Ph.D. degrees, one in Metallurgical Engineering (1998) from University of Science and Technology Beijing, and the other in Chemical Engineering (2004) from The University of Western Ontario. He has acquired an international reputation in the field of bio-refinery, particularly in the production of bio-energy, bio-fuels, bio-based chemicals and materials from forestry and agricultural wastes and residues. He has co-edited/authored 2 Springer books on bio-refinery, published 14 book chapters nearly 160 papers in peer-reviewed journals. In accordance to Google Scholar, his work has received a total citation of 5000+ with an H-index of 36 to date. He has been serving as the co-editor-in-chief for the International Journal of Chemical Reactor Engineering (IJCRE) since 2011.
Charles Xu(Research Area)
Dr. Xu research is centered on development of bio-energy and high-value bio-products (bio-fuels, biochemicals and bio-materials) from bio-resources (e.g., agro-forest biomass/residues, municipal solid wastes and wastewater sludge) via thermochemical and catalytic conversion processes. In addition, Dr. Xu is active in upgrading of heavy residual oil via hydro-treatment and recovery of organics from oil sands tailing water. Dr. Xu has co-edited a Springer book on bio-refinery, published 10 book chapters and more than 90 peer-reviewed journal papers. He is one of the key faculty members for the Green Process Engineering (GPE) program â€“ The first of its kind of program in Canada.

Hamidi Abdul Azeez(Biography)
Hamidi Abdul Aziz is a professor in environmental engineering in the School of Civil Engineering of Universiti Sains Malaysia. Professor Aziz received his PhD degree in civil engineering (environmental engineering) from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland in 1992. To date, he has published over 200 refereed articles in professional journals and proceedings, 16 chapters in refereed international books, and 8 chapters in refereed national books. He has also published 9 research books. Dr Aziz continues to serve as a peer reviewer for more than 40 international journals. To date, he has reviewed 400 international papers. Professor Aziz's research focuses on alleviating problems associated with water pollution issues from industrial wastewater discharges and from solid waste management via landfilling, such as landfill leachate. Advanced oxidation processes is one of his research focuses. He also has strong interest in biodegradation and bioremediation of oil spills. Professor Aziz has been involved in numerous consultancy works and industrial testing projects related to water and wastewater treatment, solid waste management, landfill leachate treatment, curriculum design, environmental impact assessment, and environmental management planning, to name a few. Professor Aziz has also been involved in international projects. In 2011, he and his team started to be involved in the following two projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: â€œThe Proposed Design and Tendering for the Safe Closure of Muassim/Mina Disposal Site: Phase 1â€ and â€œThe Proposed Design and Tendering for the New Phase of the Landfill at Kakia Disposal Site: Phase 1.â€

Dr. Hameed Ahmari is an adjunct professor in University of Manitoba, Canada and Senior Lecturer in University of Texas Arlington. He did his Ph.D in Civil Engineering and Hydro technical Engineering at Queen's University and Master of Science in Civil Engineering - Water Resources at Sharif University of Technology. He did many publications and handling many journals as Editorial Board Member. Dr. Habib gave many speeches and attended many conferences.
